Three steps, and none of them is a sales pitch. I don’t quote from a menu because no two rooms need the same prep, and a number given without seeing the surface is a guess that ends up costing one of us.

Within one business day, usually sooner. I read what you sent, look at any photos, and ask two or three things: which surfaces, what shape they’re in, and when you’d like it done.

I come by for a walkthrough
About twenty minutes at your place. I check every surface and the prep it needs, measure, and talk through colours and sheen. For a single room or a door, photos or a video call can stand in.

You get a written quote
One number that covers every surface, the prep, the paint, the coats and the timeline. It holds unless we change the scope together, in writing. Take your time with it; I don’t chase.

Helps to have ready
- Which rooms or surfaces, and roughly how big; a wall count and the ceiling height is plenty
- What’s on them now: new drywall, old paint, wallpaper, stain, anything peeling
- Two or three phone photos in daylight, taken from the doorway
- A rough idea of colours, or “not sure yet”, which is fine; we sort that out at the walkthrough
- When you’d like it done, and any dates that won’t work
- For exteriors: what the siding is made of, and whether it has been painted before
What the quote will include
- Every surface listed, so nothing is assumed
- The prep steps: patching, sanding, caulking and priming
- The product, sheen and colours, and the number of coats
- Labour and materials in one price, with a start date and how long the job takes
- How floors and furniture are protected, and the clean-up every evening
- Touch-up and warranty terms in plain English
